For People with Alzheimer's

Alzheimer's Family Day Center (AFDC) offers the following specialized programs for people with an Alzheimer's-type illness. Our goal is to keep people with dementia functioning in the community at the highest level possible, for as long as appropriate. Each program is designed to provide opportunities for mental stimulation and participation in life's daily activities while giving families a break from caregiving.

Mind and Body Workshop - for people newly diagnosed
Weekly wellness-oriented programs help people in the early stages of memory loss to exercise their brain power and learn how to maximize their capabilities.

Adult Day Health Program - for people in the middle stages
A therapeutic weekday program providing opportunities for people in the middle stages of an Alzheimer's type illness to connect with others and maintain or improve their physical, social and cognitive skills in a fun environment.

Sunshine Club - for people in the later stages
A weekday program for people in the later stages of an Alzheimer's illness that provides personal care; assistance with activities of daily living; as well as sensory, physical and cognitive stimulation.
