The Circle of Friends Support and empower Alzheimer’s Family Day Center (AFDC) to continue the important work it does so well. With your assistance we can continue helping people with Alzheimer’s disease to reach their own personal potential, and help individuals remain at home and out of an institution for as long as possible. We feel assured that this method of funding--new to AFDC--will allow us to better plan our annual budget, secure a predictable source of income and ensure that AFDC has the resources necessary to support our mission. AFDC was established 22 years ago to provide a vital service unavailable elsewhere in the community. We intend to continue serving the community for as long as there is a need. With your help it is possible. When families decide that their loved one can no longer safely stay at home and outside intervention is necessary, they come to AFDC for help. We nurture the needs of our participants, and we strive to help families navigate the changing stages of dementia. Compassionate care is a goal we understand and embrace. Until medical research provides the answers, Alzheimer’s will continue to exact a toll on those with the disease, as well as on their families, friends and caregivers. Until we have a cure, we have only care. And that care depends on caring people, both at home and in the community. Together, we can ensure that AFDC remains anchored to the community for the benefit of our neighbors, friends, loved ones–and society at large. Interested in joining?
