Early Stage Programs
Our goal at AFDC is to assist individuals with memory loss and their families throughout the entire journey. The trained and compassionate professionals at Alzheimer's Family Day Center will guide you through the first steps and help you have the best quality of life possible as you and your family live with memory loss or dementia.
Mind and Body Workshop
This workshop is an opportunity for the diagnosed individual and a spouse or family member to meet with others in a similar situation. Meetings are currently held Monday evenings.
This program offers coping strategies, ideas for interaction and support for the individual with memory loss and the caregiver. The healing power of laughter is combined with brain games, reminiscing, and light exercise to help the family member with cognitive impairment function on the highest level possible for the longest time. The greatest benefit may be the socialization and camaraderie that develop in the group.
