About Us

Alzheimer's Family Day Center (AFDC) is a not-for-profit organization providing a wide range of services to people with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers, including:

adult day health care

training for caregivers

support groups

preventative activities (Mind & Body Workshop and Saturday Club)

AFDC is the only dementia-specific adult day center in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. It is the first, and still the only center in Northern Virginia with programs for people in the later stages of Alzheimer's.
